Fresno Bible Quizzing exists to give children and young people an avenue to learn the Word of God. Our mission is to encourage spiritual growth and foster a deeper understanding of Scripture through regional and state tournaments — and the national Apostolic Bible Quizzing competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
By immersing quizzers in God's Word, we help them grow in biblical knowledge while developing teamwork, discipline, and confidence. It's a fun, interactive environment where young people connect with peers, build meaningful friendships, and experience the joy of learning together.
What is required of a quizzer?
Quizzers commit to memorizing the season's selected study of Scripture, attending regular team practices, and traveling to monthly regional tournaments. Along the way they develop discipline, confidence, and a love for God's Word that lasts a lifetime.
Our heart is to inspire the next generation to establish their faith on the Word of God — equipping young people with Scripture to help in the development of their calling.
Divisions
Quizzers compete in age-appropriate divisions so that every quizzer is challenged at the right level.
Junior
Ages 8–11An on-ramp to quizzing: shorter passages, beginner-friendly format, lots of encouragement.
Intermediate
Ages 12–14Full quiz format with deeper memorization and tighter team play.
Senior
Ages 15–18Advanced quizzers competing for the top regional and national spots.
How a season works
Select & study
Each season has a selected portion of Scripture. Quizzers memorize verse-by-verse.
Practice as a team
Coaches lead weekly practices, drills, and team strategy.
Monthly regionals
Teams travel to monthly regional tournaments to quiz head-to-head.
State finals
Top regional quizzers advance to the state-level championship.
Nationals in Tulsa
Champions head to the National tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
